Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi and Killer WiFi Improper Input Validation Denial-of-Service Vulnerability

Vulnerability

A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in some Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi and Killer WiFi software for Windows, prior to version 23.80. The issue arises from improper input validation, which may allow an unauthenticated user to disrupt service via adjacent access.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability can lead to a denial-of-service condition, causing a disruption in the normal functioning of the WiFi software.

Remediation

Users are advised to update Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi software to version 23.80 or later. The update is available for download from the Intel Wireless Wi-Fi Drivers for Windows 10 and Windows 11 page.
