Intel Wireless Software NULL Pointer Dereference Vulnerability Allowing Denial-of-Service

Vulnerability

A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability has been identified in certain Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFi and Killer WiFi software for Windows, prior to version 23.80. This vulnerability may allow an unauthenticated user to cause a denial-of-service condition through adjacent access.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability can lead to a denial-of-service condition, causing the system to become unresponsive or unavailable.

Remediation

Users are advised to update Intel PROSet/Wireless Wi-Fi software to version 23.80 or later. The update is available for download from the Intel Wireless Wi-Fi Drivers for Windows 10 and Windows 11 page.
