IBM OpenPages with Watson Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in IBM OpenPages with Watson versions 8.3 and 9.0. This issue allows authenticated users to inject arbitrary JavaScript into the Web UI, potentially altering functionality and leading to credential disclosure within a trusted session.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could result in reflected cross-site scripting, allowing for the injection of malicious scripts that could be executed in the context of the user's session.

Remediation

Users of IBM OpenPages with Watson 8.3 should upgrade to version 8.3 FixPack 3 (8.3.0.3). Users of IBM OpenPages 9.0 should upgrade to version 9.0 FixPack 3 (9.0.0.4) or later. Instructions for downloading these updates are available on the IBM Support website.
