AMD Improper Isolation of GPU Hardware Register Vulnerability Allowing Denial-of-Service

Vulnerability

A vulnerability exists due to improper isolation of GPU hardware register space, which could enable a privileged attacker in a malicious guest virtual machine (VM) to access unauthorized ranges of GPU memory-mapped I/O (MMIO) registers. This could potentially lead to a reboot of the host operating system, causing a denial-of-service condition.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could cause the host operating system to reboot, creating a denial-of-service condition.
