Intel Memory Latency Checker NULL Pointer Dereference Vulnerability Allowing Denial-of-Service

Vulnerability

A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability has been identified in some versions of Intel Memory Latency Checker (MLC) software prior to v3.11b. This vulnerability may allow an authenticated user to cause a denial-of-service condition through local access.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability can lead to a denial-of-service condition, causing the Intel MLC software to become unresponsive or unavailable.

Remediation

Users are advised to update Intel MLC software to version v3.11b or later. The update is available for download from the Intel Download Center.
