A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Essential Blocks – Page Builder Gutenberg Blocks, Patterns & Templates plugin for WordPress. This issue affects all versions through 5.2.3 and arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping. The vulnerability allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary scripts into pages, which are executed when users view the affected pages.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.
Users are advised to update the Essential Blocks WordPress plugin to version 5.3.0 or later, where this vulnerability has been patched.
