A SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in the Form Builder CP plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 1.2.41. The issue arises from inadequate escaping of user-supplied data in the 'id' parameter of the 'CP_EASY_FORM_WILL_APPEAR_HERE' shortcode. This flaw allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to inject additional SQL queries into existing ones, potentially leading to the extraction of sensitive information from the database.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for SQL injection, where an attacker can manipulate SQL queries to extract sensitive data from the database.
To reproduce this vulnerability, an authenticated user with Contributor-level access or higher can use the 'CP_EASY_FORM_WILL_APPEAR_HERE' shortcode, specifying an 'id' parameter. The lack of proper input sanitization allows for the injection of malicious SQL code, which is then executed by the database.
Users are advised to update the Form Builder CP plugin to version 1.2.42 or later.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
