2N RFID Reader Denial-of-Service Vulnerability

A denial-of-service vulnerability has been identified in 2N RFID readers, where specifically crafted payloads can disrupt the normal operation of the device. Although the reader temporarily becomes unresponsive, it returns to full functionality after a restart. 2N has released an updated version 2.46 of 2N OS that mitigates this vulnerability, and customers are advised to update their devices to the latest version.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability leads to a temporary denial-of-service condition on the affected RFID reader, causing it to become unresponsive until restarted.

Remediation

Users are recommended to update their devices to the latest version of 2N OS, version 2.46.
