A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the Online Payments – Get Paid with PayPal, Square & Stripe plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 3.20.0. The vulnerability arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping of user-supplied attributes in the plugin's shortcodes. This flaw allows authenticated attackers with contributor-level access or higher to inject arbitrary scripts into pages, which are executed when users access the compromised page.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the page.
To reproduce this vulnerability, an authenticated user with contributor-level access or higher can use the affected plugin's shortcodes. The injection of scripts can be done through attributes that are not properly sanitized or escaped. Once the scripts are injected, they will be executed when the page is viewed by any user.
Users are advised to update the plugin to version 3.30.0 or later, where this vulnerability has been patched.
