WP User Profile Avatar Cross-Site Request Forgery Vulnerability

A Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) vulnerability has been identified in the WP User Profile Avatar plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 1.0.5. The issue arises from inadequate nonce validation in the wpupa_user_admin() function, allowing unauthenticated attackers to manipulate plugin settings. Exploitation requires tricking a site administrator into clicking a link that generates a forged request.

Remediation

Users can update to version 1.0.6 or a newer patched version to address this vulnerability.
