- <= 2.5.10
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in the SVG Support plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 2.5.10. The issue arises from inadequate input sanitization and output escaping, allowing authenticated attackers with Author-level access or higher to inject arbitrary scripts into pages. These scripts execute when a user accesses the SVG file. While this vulnerability primarily impacts administrators by default, the ability to upload SVG files can be extended to authors.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the SVG file.
Users can update to version 2.5.11 or a newer patched version to address this vulnerability.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
