Linux Kernel NFSD Use-After-Free Vulnerability in nfsd4_ssc_setup_dul

Vulnerability

A use-after-free vulnerability has been identified in the Linux kernel's NFSD component, specifically within the nfsd4_ssc_setup_dul function. This issue arises when signal_pending() indicates a pending signal, preventing schedule_timeout() from executing. As a result, the waiting task remains in the wait queue. The vulnerability has been addressed by adding a call to finish_wait(), ensuring that the waiting task is always removed from the wait queue.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to a use-after-free condition, potentially allowing for memory corruption or arbitrary code execution.
