IBM Cloud Pak System Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in IBM Cloud Pak System versions 2.3.4.0, 2.3.4.1 ifix1, 2.3.5.0, 2.3.6.0, and in IBM OS Image for Red Hat Linux Systems versions 4.0.4.0, 4.0.5.0, 4.0.6.0, 4.0.7.0, as well as 5.0.0.0 and 5.0.1.0. This vulnerability allows users to inject arbitrary JavaScript into the Web UI, potentially altering functionality and leading to credential disclosure within a trusted session.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could result in cross-site scripting, allowing for the injection of malicious scripts that could be executed in the context of the user's session.

Remediation

Users are advised to upgrade to IBM Cloud Pak System version 2.3.6.1 or later. For versions 4.0.8.0 and 5.0.3, consult IBM Support.
