Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the content.

Reproduction

To reproduce this vulnerability, use a WordPress site with the affected plugin version installed. Embed the 'image_over_image_vc' shortcode in a post or page, including unescaped JavaScript in the 'ioi_caption_url' attribute and a script in the 'ioi_image_effect' attribute.
