Testa Reflected Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

Vulnerability

A reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in Testa version 3.5.1. The issue resides in the login.php file, specifically within the redirect parameter. This vulnerability allows attackers to inject malicious scripts that are executed as arbitrary JavaScript in the context of the victim's browser.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for reflected cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user's browser.

Reproduction

To reproduce this vulnerability, log into the application and navigate to the login.php page. In the redirect parameter, insert a payload that includes a script tag, such as a JavaScript alert. Once the payload is injected and the request is processed, the script will execute, demonstrating the cross-site scripting vulnerability.
