Linux Kernel Refcount Leak Vulnerability in DRM/AMG Encoder CVBS

Vulnerability

A refcount leak vulnerability has been identified in the Linux kernel's DRM/AMG subsystem, specifically within the CVBS encoder. The issue arises in the 'meson_encoder_cvbs_initof_graph_get_remote_node()' function, which returns a pointer to a remote device node with an incremented reference count. The function fails to decrement the reference count after use, leading to a memory leak. The vulnerability has been addressed by adding the missing 'of_node_put()' call to properly manage the reference count.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to a memory leak, causing increased memory usage and potential degradation of system performance over time.
