Linux Kernel Refcount Leak Vulnerability in MMC SDHCI Component

Vulnerability

A refcount leak vulnerability has been identified in the Linux kernel's MMC SDHCI component, specifically within the 'sdhci-of-esdhc' driver. The issue arises in the 'esdhc_signal_voltage_switch' function, which returns a node pointer with an incremented reference count. If the pointer is not properly released using 'of_node_put()', it leads to a memory leak. The vulnerability has been addressed by adding the missing 'of_node_put()' call to prevent the refcount leak.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to a memory leak, causing increased memory usage and potentially leading to a denial-of-service condition.
