Linux Kernel Privilege Escalation Vulnerability in CDNS3 USB Gadget Driver

Vulnerability

A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's CDNS3 USB gadget driver could lead to a kernel panic. The issue arises because the 'priv_ep' assignment was placed incorrectly in the 'cdns3_gadget_ep_dequeue()' and 'cdns3_gadget_ep_enable()' functions. If the 'ep' parameter is NULL, the resulting pointer is invalid, and dereferencing it with 'priv_ep->cdns3_dev' may cause a system crash.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability can lead to a kernel panic, causing a denial of service by crashing the system.
