A vulnerability in the Linux kernel's 9p file system implementation has been addressed. The issue involved a reference count leak of file identifiers (fids) during the atomic open operation. If the operation failed partway through, the directory fid was not properly released, leading to a leak. This vulnerability was identified while running xfstests generic test 531.
The vulnerability could lead to a reference count leak, potentially causing memory management issues.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
