Linux Kernel Refcount Leak Vulnerability in cpufreq Component

Vulnerability

A refcount leak vulnerability has been identified in the Linux kernel's cpufreq component for MacRISC3 systems. The issue arises in the function pmac_cpufreq_init_MacRISC3(), where three node pointers are incremented by of_find_node_by_name() without a corresponding decrement, leading to a memory management flaw.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability causes a memory refcount leak, which can potentially lead to memory corruption or other undefined behaviors.
