Linux Kernel NFSD Use-After-Free Vulnerability in File Handling

Vulnerability

A use-after-free vulnerability has been identified in the Linux kernel's Network File System (NFS) server component. The issue arises in the file handling functions, specifically 'nfsd_file_put()' and 'nfsd_file_put_noref()'. The latter function can free a reference to a file, creating a potential use-after-free scenario if the reference is accessed immediately after the free operation.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability could lead to a use-after-free condition, which may be exploited to cause memory corruption or execute arbitrary code.
