Xeroneit Library Management System Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in Xeroneit Library Management System version 3.1. This issue resides within the Book Category feature, where administrators can inject malicious scripts. By inserting a payload into the Category Name field, an attacker can execute arbitrary JavaScript code when the page is accessed.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the affected page.

Reproduction

To reproduce this vulnerability, log into the application as an admin. Navigate to the 'Book' menu and select 'Book Category'. Click on the 'Add' button, then insert a payload, such as an image tag with an 'onerror' event, into the 'Category Name' field and save it. The injected script will execute, demonstrating the cross-site scripting vulnerability.
