Comodo Dome Firewall Reflected Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

Vulnerability

A reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in Comodo Dome Firewall version 2.7.0. This vulnerability exists in the openvpn_users endpoint, where attackers can inject malicious scripts through POST parameters. By crafting POST requests with script payloads in specific parameters, it is possible to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the browsers of users.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for reflected cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user's browser.

Reproduction

To reproduce this vulnerability, send a POST request to the openvpn_users endpoint with a script payload injected into one of the following parameters: username, remotenets, explicitroutes, static_ip, custom_dns, or custom_domain. The injected script will be executed in the user's browser, demonstrating the cross-site scripting vulnerability.
