Comodo Dome Firewall Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability
Vulnerability
A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability has been identified in Comodo Dome Firewall version 2.7.0. This vulnerability allows attackers to inject malicious scripts through the vpnfw endpoint. By sending POST requests with script payloads in the target parameter, attackers can exploit reflected XSS, or use the remark parameter for stored XSS, executing arbitrary JavaScript in the browsers of administrators.
Impact
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user's browser.
Reproduction
To reproduce this vulnerability, send a POST request to the vpnfw endpoint with a script payload in the remark parameter for stored XSS, or in the target parameter for reflected XSS. The injected script will be executed in the browser of an administrator.
