Comodo Dome Firewall Stored Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability
Vulnerability
A stored cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in Comodo Dome Firewall version 2.7.0. This vulnerability allows authenticated attackers to inject malicious scripts into the comment parameter, which are then executed in the browsers of users who view the affected page. The injection occurs through the admin_profiles endpoint.
Impact
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for stored cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the context of the user viewing the affected page.
Reproduction
To reproduce this vulnerability, an authenticated user can submit a script payload, such as a JavaScript alert, through the comment parameter on the admin_profiles endpoint. Once submitted, the injected script will execute in the browser of any user who views the page.
