A reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability has been identified in OPNsense version 19.1. This issue allows attackers to inject malicious scripts that are executed in the context of the user's browser. The vulnerability arises from improper input validation in several parameters, including 'tag', 'descr', and 'vlanif', on the 'interfaces_vlan_edit.php' page. Attackers can exploit this by sending POST requests with script payloads through these parameters.
Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for reflected cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the user's browser.
To reproduce this vulnerability, send a POST request to 'interfaces_vlan_edit.php' with a script payload in one of the following parameters: 'tag', 'descr', or 'vlanif'. The injected script will be executed in the context of the user's browser.
Users are advised to update to OPNsense version 19.1.1, which addresses this cross-site scripting vulnerability.
Our algorithm analyzes dozens of metrics to generate these 8 key vulnerability categories, which are then combined to calculate the overall risk score.
