Angular Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability

Vulnerability

A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in all Angular versions prior to 1.5.0-beta.0. This issue arises because the framework does not properly sanitize 'xlink:href' attributes, allowing malicious scripts to be injected and executed in the context of the user.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for cross-site scripting, where injected scripts are executed in the user's browser, potentially leading to session hijacking, cookie theft, or other malicious actions.

Remediation

Users are advised to upgrade Angular to version 1.5.0-beta.0 or higher.
