Nagios XI Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability in 'My Reports' Listing

A cross-site scripting (XSS) vulnerability exists in Nagios XI versions prior to 5.2.4. The issue arises in the 'My Reports' section of the web interface, where insufficient validation or escaping of user-supplied input allows for the injection and execution of arbitrary scripts in the context of the user's browser.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for cross-site scripting, where an attacker can inject malicious scripts that are executed in the context of the victim's browser.

Remediation

Users can upgrade to Nagios XI version 5.2.4 or later to address this vulnerability.
