LTL Freight Quotes – ABF Freight Edition SQL Injection Vulnerability

Vulnerability

A SQL injection vulnerability has been identified in the LTL Freight Quotes – ABF Freight Edition plugin for WordPress, affecting all versions through 3.3.7. The vulnerability arises from inadequate escaping of user-supplied parameters in the 'edit_id' and 'dropship_edit_id' fields, allowing unauthenticated attackers to inject additional SQL queries. This exploitation could lead to unauthorized access to sensitive information within the database.

Impact

Exploitation of this vulnerability allows for SQL injection, where attackers can manipulate SQL queries to extract sensitive data from the database.

Reproduction

The vulnerability can be reproduced by sending a request to the WordPress site with the 'edit_id' or 'dropship_edit_id' parameters. These parameters can be included in an AJAX request, such as 'en_abf_wd_edit_dropship' or 'en_abf_wd_edit_warehouse', without proper sanitization, allowing for the injection of malicious SQL code.

Remediation

Users are advised to update the LTL Freight Quotes – ABF Freight Edition plugin to version 3.3.8 or later.
